The works supervisor is the professional figure chosen by the client, based on the works to be carried out and the professional qualifications required by current regulations for the execution of such works, with the aim of overseeing the regular progress of the construction site.

The works supervisor is delegated by the construction company to manage the construction site; they may coincide with the figure of the site manager (in the case of small construction sites) or be their direct superior. They have decision-making powers both in terms of operational planning and in the execution of the works.
